26th May 2016

We had a fantastic launch event at Peterborough Railway Station yesterday, where the servicemen’s biographies are being displayed on a screen in the main entrance.  The entries will appear 100 years to the week that each serviceman passed through the Great Eastern Station.

Our WW1 re-enactors included two soldiers, a member of the Royal Flying Corps and Crystabelle Layton, one of the ladies who signed the book whilst helping out at the tea room.  They certainly received a lot of attention from the general public and helped raise the profile of the project.

We are encouraging people to follow us on social media and share the information as it’s released to help us tell the servicemen’s stories and find as many family members as possible.
