The pupils at Castor Primary School have been finding out all about the project this week.  During the presentation the children discovered what the volunteers do and why the WUTAC ladies wanted the servicemen to drink tea rather than beer!  They looked at sketches and listened to recordings of the poems and messages in the books and explored the stories of some of the servicemen who wrote them.

A group of pupils also visited the local Archives and heard some fascinating stories about ‘Jimmy the Donkey’ and the ‘Lonely Anzac’ which will help the children with their research for the play they are working on.
