Biography
Private A Wallace was serving with the 64th Sanitary Section Royal Army Medical Corps attached to 2nd Highland Division and was stationed at Norwich when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 23 April 1917. He wrote in the visitors’ book:
“Oh Tomorrow Oh Tomorrow I Shall happy Be Tomorrow, I shall be Mr Dave and I going to have a Honeymoon because I never had one before.”
“Many thanks to this very nice Lady for her kindness to me while waiting for a Train I hope some day that we shall meet again in this rest room at Peterborough.”
“gone to Blackpool.”
