Police Constable Bailey passed through Peterborough East Station and signed the visitors’ book on 6 February 1917.  His entry reveals he was serving with Warwickshire Police and was accompanying Detective Sergeant Horseman.  He wrote “We thank the Ladies of Peterborough for their kindness, & would also like to express our appreciation of the good & noble work they are doing for the boys of our Army & Navy.”
