Biography
Sapper D Kerr was serving with the Royal Engineers when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 13 July 1916.
We know from his book entry that he was at Clipstone Camp, Mansfield which was one of the largest military training camps of the Great War with some 20-30,000 soldiers stationed at the camp at any one time. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01xtx82
So far, Sapper D Kerr has proven difficult to trace, as there are at least four Sappers by this name in the Royal Engineers. With little else to work with we have drawn a blank, can you help?
