Biography
Private E Shiner was serving with the 69th Divisional Signals Company of the Royal Engineers when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 21 June 1916. He wrote in the visitor’s book “Better Love hath no man than he who lays down his life for his Country”. He was travelling with Sapper G B Miller either to or from Barnham Camp near Thetford, Suffolk.
