Biography
Frankland was born in Leicester in 1883, to parents Charles and Mary (Frankland) Deuxberry.
The 1891, Census lists him aged 8, living at Greenhill Lane, Alfreton with his parents, two brothers, a sister and a servant. His father’s occupation was a grocer.
By the 1901 Census he is living in Selston, Nottingham and working as a joiner, his father is now a grocer manager and also a widower. He has three brothers and a sister and their grandfather also living with them.
In 1911, Frankland is boarding at Chapel Street, Kilbourne, Derbyshire working as a bricklayer’s labourer in the stoneware pottery industry.
Private Deuxberry served mainly with the Yorkshire Regiment, namely 2/5 Yorkshire Regiment, 3rd Prince of Wales Company, 1st West Yorkshire Regiment. He was awarded the Allied Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
No record of a marriage has been found. He died in East Redford, Nottingham in March 1945.
