Biography

Corporal James Martin was serving with the 405th Highland Field Company Royal Engineers when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 28 March 1917.  He wrote in the visitors’ book “Just another line of appreciation.”

The 405th Highland Field Company was a Territorial Force Unit attached to the 64th (2nd Highland) Division.
