Biography

Private J Ferguson was serving with the 2/4th Battalion Cameron Highlanders when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 21 March 1917.  He wrote in the visitors’ book “Many thanks to the Ladies at the Rest for their kindness shown to me at the Rest.”

We have been unable to find any information about Private Ferguson, but the 2/4th Cameron Highlanders were stationed in Norfolk at this time and he may well have been travelling to or from Norfolk when he passed through Peterborough East Station.  Please follow the link for information on Private Ferguson’s Battalion http://www.1914-1918.net/cameron.htm
