Biography
Bombardier P Brand passed through Peterborough East Station on 7 September 1916. He was serving with the 64th (Howitzer) Divisional Ammunition Column of the Royal Field Artillery and stationed at Rackheath, Norwich.
It has not been possible to locate any military records for Bombardier Brand. However, he gave his address in the visitors’ book as 23 Young Street, Aberdeen and based on this information a Patrick Brand has been identified who was born in Aberdeen in 1891. On the 1901 Census, Patrick (10) was living at 41 Blackfriars Street, Aberdeen with his parents Peter, a boiler maker, and Jane and siblings George (18) an apprentice plasterer, Catherine (16) a jute winder, Jane (14) a jute shifter, Frances (8) and Annie (6).
