Biography

Bombardier R Stevens was serving with the Royal Marines Artillery on HMS Marlborough when he passed through Peterborough East Station on 10 April 1917.  He wrote in the visitors’ book “Many thanks for your kindness & civility shown by ladies in “Sailors & Soldiers Rest” greatly appreciated.”  He was travelling with a group from HMS Marlborough.
