Biography

Corporal Trevor Lake passed through Peterborough East Station and signed the visitors’ book on 27 December 1916.  He wrote “Here – after many months – I have heard the “Suffolk” accent spoken. For this – and the true hospitality that is shown – many thanks”.

His entry reveals that he served with the Mechanical Transport Army Service Corps.  Unfortunately his military records have not been located and nothing else is known about this soldier.
