Biography
Thomas W Leeds served in the 4th Reserve of the Leicestershire Regiment. He passed through Peterborough East Station and signed the visitors’book on the 22 December 1916. His entry reveals that he was stationed at Louth in Lincolnshire.
The only records found for Thomas are his medal card and medal roll entry, the latter indicating that he was discharged on 25 February 1916. This date conflicts with the later visitors’ book entry, which may suggest that he re-enlisted at a later date.
He served in France from 28 February 1915 and was awarded the 1914/15 Star and British War and Allied Victory Medals.
No further information has been found on any Leicestershire Regiment Roll of Honour.
